There were so many viewings at all times of day meaning I had to keep the place immaculately tidy to have any hope of making a sale. The estate agents I dealt with weren't particularly helpful either, to them it was just another sale and they didn't seem bothered by my urgency to sell my house quickly. The truth is that estate agents make their money whether in a boom or a recession, as the amount of people buying houses may reduce but the amount trying to sell them, or losing them to the bank who then sells them, only increases.

In the end I was awarded with a decent annual bonus, which was as generous as it was unexpected, meaning I would be able to afford my previously crippling mortgage repayments for another couple of years.

Now I can forget about having to sell my house quickly in such a ludicrous buyers market as we have at the moment. My new found financial security is not only a weight off my mind in the short term, but it also allows me to sell once the market recovers
